Comparison of Selected Mathematical Programming Models Used for Sustainable Land and Farm Management

چکیده

The aim of this study is to compare three mathematical programing models used for sustainable land and farm management. sample the comparison was 219 agricultural holdings participating as beneficiaries measure ‘Modernization holdings’ in Rural Development Plan at Region Central Macedonia Greece. Using crop plan these farms programming calculate optimum solution under different conflicting goals. results methodologies Linear Programming (LP), Positive Mathematical (PMP) Weighted Goal (WGP), are compared terms proposed changes. sustainability measured with use eleven economic, social, environmental indicators. Each model has some unique advantages disadvantages that can enable it be implemented particular situations. In conclusions research characteristics each highlighted.
